Feel the passage of time with your whole body and connect with the breath of nature.
In addition to multiple terraced baths, we’ve created a space where you can refresh both body and mind.
We’d like to introduce two of Tohho’s highlights: the “Sora no Yu” and “Tanagumo no Yu” open-air baths.Located on the 3rd floor of the West Wing of the Tower Building—which stands on a hilltop at an elevation of approximately 300 meters—these baths boast a prime location with a direct view of the Aizu mountain range stretching from the Aizu Basin all the way to Echigo. The beauty of the sunset viewed from these open-air baths is unmatched by any other facility in Aizu-Wakamatsu.
In this large open-air bath, where you can enjoy a view that makes it seem as if you’re floating in the sky, you can gaze out at the cityscape of Aizu-Wakamatsu during the day and look up at a sky full of stars at night, allowing you to spend a relaxing moment.

In addition to the indoor bath and the two-tiered terraced open-air baths with varying water depths, the highlight is a circular open-air bath that seems to float in the air.
Surrounded by a bamboo grove, the bath juts out 11 meters above the ground. During the day, you can enjoy the sound of the breeze and birdsong; at night, you can savor the fantastical lighting that evokes the tale of “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.”

In addition to the indoor bath, three open-air baths with varying water depths are arranged in a terraced pattern. The top tier is designed for a full-body soak with a view of the horizon; the second tier is for a half-body soak; and the bottom tier is a reclining bath where you can gaze up at the sky.
These magnificent open-air baths allow you to fully enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Aizu through a 180-degree panoramic view from three distinct vantage points.
